DRY EYE TREATMENT

What is Dry Eye?

Dry eye is a term used to describe a medical condition that results from inadequate lubrication of the eyes, which can cause eye discomfort, tear film instability and visual disturbance.

A number of factors can contribute to dry eye including: pollution and other environmental irritants, aging, extreme heat or cold, screen time, medication side effects or medical issues.

Signs and Symptoms of Dry Eyes

Dry Eye symptoms can include: burning, foreign body sensation, sensitivity to light, dryness, grittiness, scratchiness, contact lens intolerance, general discomfort and blurring of vision.

Signs of dry eye can include: abnormal tear osmolarity, corneal surface damage, low tear meniscus, hyperemia and fast tear film break-up to name a few.
